Palo Santo translates to "holy wood" and is indigenous to the Central American region. It is a wood from the tree Bursera Graveolens, nicknamed Palo Santo. For thousands of years, it has been used spiritually and medicinally by Shamans and healers, often known as Curanderos, to cleanse negative energy and invite in the good. Burning Palo Santo brings in positivity while burning sage is said to clear out negativity.
